theatre-valise

3 TO 6 YEARS

Michel-la-Lune is a unique, funny, magical little boy. One morning, he wakes up gently under the bright, mischievous gaze of La Luna, his great friend who has heard him snoring.
In a fable with a touch of music, the two friends travel through their imaginations, cleaning the moon, putting on a red tutu, playing the thumb piano and singing opera without "madame who sings loud", sometimes recounting touching memories, sometimes telling funny jokes. A story about uniqueness and self-acceptance, full of sweetness and light.

The characters

IN MY BUNDLE

"What I love most about Moon Opera is that I get to see my mom and dad. They dance and sing. Together. Together. Glued together. They look happy."

- Michel

A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

-Introducing children to theatre-

"As a child, L'Opéra de la Lune left a lasting impression on Sarah, my beloved artistic co-director. Beyond the story, it was the sweetness of the work that appealed to her.

As we watch our children grow up, we feel how much they need human contact and comfort. Especially after the troubled times we've just been through, we felt a lack. And what if imagination could fill that gap?
With Dans mon baluchon, we wanted to create a theatrical journey for toddlers. A journey of softness, dreams, comforters and cuddles. At bedtime, anything is possible... even a trip to the moon.

media coverage

-The Echoes-

Outsmart Time, Duty

"If the story is carried out with rigor by the actors, that the very energetic staging - punctuated by music, dance recalling the different countries visited - is just as attractive to the eye as to the ear, the interaction with the public adds to the success of the performance."

Monthetre.qc.ca

"Around the World in 80 Days, by Jules Verne, written nearly 150 years ago, has never seemed so bursting with energy and youth as in this production from the Théâtre Advienne que Peut."

– Daphné Bathalon

A journey to the four corners of the world

"The play, which has several locations, taking its audience from London to New York, via Bombay and Hong Kong, brings additional challenges to the director, who must demonstrate a great deal of ingenuity in order to respect this text, which includes a multitude of incredible adventures and several dozen characters."

– Louise Bourbonnais
