10 YEARS AND OVER

Adapted from the novel by Jules Verne.

London, 1872. Gentleman Phileas Fogg sets out on an unprecedented challenge: to circumnavigate the globe in eighty days. A mad race against time begins, propelling our hero and his faithful valet Passepartout to the four corners of the globe... Convinced that Fogg is a common burglar on the run from justice, Detective Fix follows him on his adventures and tries everything possible to stop or delay him. From London to Shanghai, via Bombay and San Francisco, Fogg and Passepartout embark on a surprising world tour that will bring them much more than the victory of a foolish gamble.

A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

-An epic journey-

"Ever since I was a little boy, I've been an admirer of soap operas. I think I would have loved to see this type of story on stage when I was young.
Around the World in 80 Days is an epic journey of the imagination. Each tableau transports the spectator to the four corners of the world! A journey that breathes a little humanity into a 19th century marked by industrialization and colonialism.
I wanted the staging to be, like the story being told, a race against time. We go around the world in 80 days, but in 80 minutes. I put the mechanisms of theater at the service of adventure, like a watchmaker regulates time."
